..............................................................................Close
embrace
These notes summarise
some close embrace workshops given in
Cambridge in Autumn 2004 by Jur &
Jonne from Amsterdam.
|
| |
We began
by practising leading the follower into a
side step to enter cross system using
weak, medium, and strong "down"
leads to create small, medium, and large
follower side steps.:
|
|
|
| |
|
weak lead - small side
step; medium
lead, medium side step;
strong
lead - large side step;
|
We
continued with random side step leads but
with the leader placing one or other of
his feet alongside the inside of one or
otehr of his follower's feet as she
completed the side step:
|
|
|
| |
|
small, medium, large
moves to each side; leader's
left or right foot against either left or
right foot of follower
|
Then, in
a close hold, we developed the sacada of
follower's trailing leg as she makes the
side step:
|
|
|
| |
|
Lead follower into a
step to one side with no leader step; Pivot (Leader
and Follower) 90 and Leader steps to side
to displace follower's trailing leg.
|
We then
developed the sacada of follower's
trialing leg as she makes a forward cross
step::
|
|
|
| |
|
Lead follower into a
forward step across the leader; Pivot (Leader
and Follower) 90 and Leader steps to side
to displace follower's trailing leg.
