These notes summarise a milonga revision lesson by Clo de Castro and Alison Vale in Buenos Aires in 2001.

They reminded us about the milonga "style":

... weight centred on each step;

... couple usually offset

... back foot fully down; and

... side-side rocking of torso with music

 
 
 

We then practised the salida to follower's cross ...

   
    Leader steps back with his right leg

Leader steps back and to his left with his left leg

Leader steps left and forward on his right leg right outside follower turning slightly

Leader steps forward with his left leg turning more

Leader closes his right leg diagonally behind left as follower crosses
