These notes summarise a body control workshop arranged by Mike and Stephanie at the Cambridge TangoBar and taught by Rodolfo Aguerrodi and Miho Omaki in October 2001.

Lesson 2 began with some pivots ...

   
    Pivots (weight forward/eyes horizontal / face front)
 

Body pivot:

   
    whole erect torso pivots at same time (arm check exercise)
 

Shoulder first:

   
    open lead shoulder /close following shoulder while holding hips square to wind up energy

release energy into hips/feet

       
 

Hip first:

   
   

Step forward (touch/transfer)

Pivot hips first while facing front (close)

 

Lapis pivot:

   
   

Step forward (touch/transfer)

Forward or backward lapis to desired angle releasing support foot to wind into position
